
The challenge this week is half-and-half, and as I was looking through my photos I came across some lake shots. Those were mostly reflections, not two halves. Then I came across this one, half water (with some rock), half sky. This was sunrise from the island of O’ahu.

Beautiful. The sea is so rough, its surface looks like what I imagine the rocks surfaces would look like. It’s as though the rocks are reflecting in the sea.

Thank you, Nadia. I do like the way the sea had enough motion to give the water the undulations and texture one would have seen in the rock. I know that it seems to be popular to take long exposures with water to give the photo an ethereal feel, but I prefer the textures that happen when water is captured quickly.
