It’s way too windy outside to attempt any close-ups, so I thought I’d have some fun with my camera indoors. The source for this shot – a 2013 US quarter with the tribute to Mount Rushmore (just a reminder that it’s tax time for procrastinators). This is an uncropped shot taken with a Pentax 40mm lens with two extension tubes. Exposure 1/3 second f/8 ISO 200.

I like the designs they put on a couple of the quarters, and I think this one photographed the best. I’m pleased with the outcome, glad you enjoyed it, too.

I’ve got to assume that is a South Dakota Quarter. Awesome as you’ve made it look like men at work.

It does say South Dakota on it, but it’s not the 2006 state quarter. It’s the one from 2013 for Mount Rushmore, and I love the way that the light made it look as though there were men working on it!
